However old in years or mind
there are the truths put down in rhyme
Or in the young we wish to keep
tis what we learn in our constant seek

Split the mold which does encase
free the spirit for thrill of chase
Reach beyond the stars that shine
throw down the shackles that do bind

With those fingers that grasp the pen
paint, or prose, or rhyme begin
Or hold the book or hear the song
that lifts you up and carries along

There is no limit of what you can be
if only you reach for what you see
Stifle not what stirs within
ignore the ones who would never ken

Take of life all you can hold
grasp with a gusto ever so bold
Soar with the clouds, drift on the breeze
listen to the concert playing in the trees

Walk the grasses if even in mind
sail the seas, leaving land behind
Listen to what is said inside
and follow your pathway beyond the sky

tis been far too long since your wisdom smoke rose from the fire and blew in our direction.
Wonderful to read your rhymes again sweet keeper....dont stay away so long...I was about to buy a space heater

You never knew what I loved in you,
I dont know what you loved in me ...
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be.
