Hope dies quiet
in an early spring morn
when you wake and realize
you're alone in a bed meant for two.

Hope dies quiet
when you recognize
that what awakened you was
the flash of a screen, the tap of a key.

Hope dies quiet
with messages sent in the dark
to someone else
while you lie there lonely...and alone.

Hope dies quiet
not with a whimper
not with a sigh
not in a rage.

Hope simply dies...quiet.

This is a sadly quiet write...and very true.
It always does seem to just sort of fade
from the picture of life...You write well
of this feeling...even as it quietly dies..

Pauls darling sister of my heart this was as usual for you utterly utterly wonderful. Its such a special read each word flowing into the next. No one writes the way you do darling girl nobody. This is a quiet sad little write from you darling heart, and my word how well you write this lonely feeling.

You are an utterly UTTERLY superb writer and this is fabulous.
