a Leo
A person
that I have come to know
as beautiful

A man
with an exquisite heart
that would move these hills
to bring me a safari sun
if I asked you to

A brother,
an aggravation at times
with your one liners
always at my expense

Like when you wanted
to take my picture
to show your mother
and you waited
to catch me
with green facial on
and said you could not
find the words
to describe my beauty

then others times
you made me feel
as the sister
you never had

like when you let me drive
the new caddy
when you wouldn’t let
anyone else
and you didn’t even fuss
when I blasted Train
and waved silly at people
through the sunroof
you just laughed

the next morning
we made chocolate syrup
for pancakes
and it stuck to the pan
with two spoons
we talked about you
your life

how you were once afraid
that I wouldn’t accept you
as you are
I listened to you as a woman
and heard you with a human heart
and we embraced
our differences as a bond

Your glory
is your massive head of hair
your wicked side grin
and your energy
from some bottled force
of nature

You are a Lion
your mane is still the same
to me
though hurting for you
I will be strong
and ask God
to let you run free

and if you are able
to come back
and be with us
I am waiting
we are waiting
and we love you
I promise you
I'll master chocolate syrup

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, ooohhhhhhh...I love your new picture so much! (kiss on cheek) Mmmmmmm...this made me hungry for some chocolate pancakes, sweet friend, we all love you so much, you are a delight to us all! Wow, strong words of friendship and love for someone here. I sure hope he sees it, for I’m sure he would adore hearing your feelings for him. Chocolate syrup huh??? Should I ask??? Lol. (okay, maybe it’s just my mind that’s in the gutter!!!) By the way, I love the new pic. I think that’s your best one yet.
