It's been said by critics bold that we're all on borrowed time
Well, we all know that life's not fair, still a question comes to mind
If time is really borrowed, every minute, one by one
Who do we give it back to, when we're done?

Is there a time-collector, who'll be waiting when we die?
Is he the one who spoils our fun by making time to fly?
At birth, does he dole out to each their own allotted share?
He's stingy, giving not enough to spare!

But some of us get lucky, even while we're at Death's door
We're given borrowed time, enough to live a little more
A precious gift to but a few, a chance to try again
But borrowed time's collected, in the end...

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end!

(sigh) Wow, this is such a wonderful question, sweet friend, I guess only He may now, for He wants us to make the best out of our lives and have our love grow and share it to the world, and in time we find our dreams and what makes us special to embrace the world with arms wide open! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much, this is excellent! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sunnyone, thank you for sharing!'

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Very well expressed, I always find wisdom and much to ponder while reading your poetry

Take care,

Noah, I thank you, and always enjoy your sweet replies.....they hold truth and much meaning for me....

Melissa, I do so thank you for your kind words, and I am glad if my words rendered food for thought.  That's why I write, I guess...thank you again

Cheers, Sunnyone! What a ponderous thought. Maybe that timekeeper can lose track of time for a few more years. We still have so many things on our TO DO lists!

Hi Sunny,

I don't have to worry about who I'm giving it back to when I'm done, because I'm not giving it back.   Nice work, Sunny.  It's great to see you here again.

Morning star, still kiss the dawn
