The desperate anger
you carry
as some sort of merit badge
into this house
now threatens my sanity
and even I
wonder what it will take
before I break
before I respond in kind
and hurl madness
back at you

I don’t want to be that person

when all I was trying to do
was keep you warm
through winter

thank you
for once again
punishing my good deed

OH Duncan, don't we all go through days like this. It is sad, but things always do get better. And I love how you write from your soul. floria

Duncan, this is excellent 'venting'.  And, how many didn't have someone to keep them warm through winter?  Good writing here!

And haven't we all been there a time or two, but never found the words to say it just like this...

you may vent more...

=====================================

that verse just went thru me ...
time to come in from the cold dear Duncan.
well vented verbiage poet sir.*s*

Awake again I can't pretend ... and I know I'm alone ...
And so close to the end of the feelings we've known.

(big hugggsssss) Oh Duncan, this is so so sad, my heart goes out to you, and I believe that sometimes we all face these experiences, but if love can prevail each and every one of them with compassion, then the love will only grow stronger in the end and much warmth and comfort will always fill your heart! (sigh) My heart goes out to you, sweet friend, this is so sad but wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Duncan, thank you for sharing!

May lovew and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Vent away, my friend.

Well, you know I can relate to this one totally. Although he's finally gone, I can't believe all the stuff he helped himself to while my back was turned. How true about no good deed going unpunished. You're much kinder than me. If I was writing a venting rant right now, I'd be spitting venom. Think maybe I should stay away from pen and paper today. I think if I had to look at my feelings in black and white right now they'd even scare me.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
