Lady fair, doth thee know mine heart beats long
I once gaze, in tears my will remains strong
Dost thee feel thy breast doth support me alone
Beg not thee yearn touch warm arms not mine own

Wilt thee be ‘pon the wall whenst knight returns
Bearing the torches as kindred fire burns
Thee must know tis two heart’s song doth mine sing
Doth thy ears hear thine own plucking of string.

‘Gainst the moon’s wane over yon mountain go
to wage the fight for life and all ye know
Most fierce of battles be fought and waged yon
in darkest of night till rise of red sun.

Thy castle high wilt keep thee well and warm
A thousand remain and wilt guard from harm
Your vision sure shall remain in eyes clear
Love thee eternally, lips say thee dear

I don't think I would attemp this Magnus, this is very difficult to do. I am so glad you are not calling your women wenches LOL..We have a restaurant here called Medieval Times and you go there and eat all your meals with your hands, no utensils, and you watch shows that are put on with knights and swords etc. I am going to take my grandchild there, all food is served by "wenches" I'm thinking you would love this. LOL.....nice poem. floria

Magnus darling boy this is sooooooooo incredibly wonderful. I am never disappointed by the artistry and wonder you craft into your poems and this is amazing. This series of yours have been stunning in their awesome use of language, and you do know I love it.

Did I hear someone ask for the wench? I’ll be there post haste……… Isn’t it time the wench set the forum alight again?  Mmmmm I think so too

You know that this is utterly wonderful don’t you, the flow is just perfect

Keep thy drink of soul's warmth close
for thine eyes shall never gaze afar
as penned thoughts by quill of love
set down thy poems as many as stars...

This is wonderful!
Can I be the wanton wicked wench?!
The one Floria and Marsha are talking about....
*sly grin, I could play that part well me thinks.*
