Conquer The Night Waking I feel arms release me that held me close throughout the night I snuggle back not wanting free from these arms that hold me tight Drifting on passion dreams I wove I move to gently kiss your lips Embracing in paradise grove beneath the stars that moon eclipse Desire burns making my skin flush as I’m lost to feather light touch So real that warm flesh my lips brush while in vision to you I clutch I feel the warmth of your skin fade when reality invades thought My heart cries out as if betrayed by fantasy love that I sought Not wanting to conquer the night and enter into lonely day Waking moments become a fight that in my dream world I might stay Karen Torbiak 2002 © Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Karen, these lines send me to the stars: Desire burns making my skin flush as I’m lost to feather light touch I could write volumes of poetry about them.
