Lovely, mine do you have a name? Grant who grabbed my heart canned it sweetly and put it on a shelf for later enjoyment while it looked at the outside word and long to be unsealed by waiting? Darling, heart do you have a name? Daniel who dared to be my honesty and love me in a time I could not fathom love? Was I in youth when I met you or do I know you now while writing songs of love with eyes watching as I long for a blanket from their prying stare? Darling, eyes do you have a name? David who danced with me under moonlight promising to take away set in stone inhibitions if I'd just give you but a moment to confess all you secrets to my ears? Was I in truth a sucker for your poetry finally figuring what it took to stop your songs made public about the things I was inclined to keep a private part of me? Darling, privacy Do you have a name? Mark who keeps me safe at home knowing not much of my poetry but seeming to know me as well as one of the best has? Whose eyes do not take can opener shape and bite apart my poetry and its direction. Whose trust could be just a seeming more noble pride in having heart to be a man even if it means a danger of loosing what he chooses most to have? And who has my heart am I or my words playing "drop the hankerchief" in rooms not closed off from view of eyes and would I really kiss strangers in front of you all? My Darling has a name and he is Love. My darling has hands that feed my heart when I cannot stand to do so or when oncoming age serves clouds and he is Love. My Love has a name is Grant the greater part of love lost is Daniel childhood crush not soon forgotten? is David daring danced who dared find my wild soul? is Mark the lucky one who vowed for my heart? Am I the greatest fiction that ever lived? pretending love in places where it never breathed? Am I the greatest nonfiction ever blessed hiding and switching names for confusion so that you may read my poetry instead of trying to palm read my life at hand? Does my darling have a name? Yes, he does and he is Love and I tire of explaining such to paranoid poets rambling poetic pages pointing parts partnered with my pen. Am I fooling you all? And if I am, is my life really yours to watch? How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so. |

I would say that we all have a list like this. . . with more names than we would care to tell. . . well done here. . . ----------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

( chuckling) This is indeed a wonderful write... I would not name the names, nor share the facts in publics eye, fictional are they all... that's my story and I'm sticking with it. Very nicely done... very nice indeed. |

And who has my heart am I or my words playing "drop the hankerchief" in rooms not closed off from view of eyes and would I really kiss strangers in front of you all? ================================== Am I the greatest fiction that ever lived? pretending love in places where it never breathed? Am I the greatest nonfiction ever blessed hiding and switching names for confusion so that you may read my poetry instead of trying to palm read my life at hand? =================================== You ask the question that is so true of learning to fly in cyberspace... and the way so much is assumed in our poetry and replies. Why does it seem that every poem is taken as confession or a diary page...Did POE really have a talking Raven? Did the Birds really attack Alfred Hitchcock? Is every write a poet or author penned taken from reality? Must we provide disclaimers? If these walls could talk, right? Read palms? No...but I can read between the lines LOL See ... now you got me going great writing poetess Jenn..... reminded me of your old signature ( my name aint baby) So it seems your saving grace was only saving face, |
