When you've lived out in the desert
with it's unrelenting heat
where thirst for simple pleasures
can nearly leave you beat;

where no matter where your eyes turn
the scen'ry never changes
though ever shifting sand dunes
move through many different ranges;

when you've been hit and blinded
by the whirling stormy sands
that strike so unexpected
and rage across the land;

when you’ve weathered unforgiving fury
while moving forward with no gain
then maybe you’ll appreciate
the soft warm summer rain.

Poetry is an expression of feelings.  I do not write poems, but rather, the poems use me to write themselves.

Oh Jan, this is sooo pretty.  And I too love the soft warm summer rain...can't wait!
Enjoying life's simple pleasures...that's what it's all about!

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, this is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I think it is one of the most beautiful feelings to weather storms and feel all the simple pleasures of life before your very eyes! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is beautiful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

this poem was a pleasure to read aloud..
your cadence was a treat on the tongue
So good to see your name back here in the blue pages.

So it seems your saving grace was only saving face,
you thought he was wanting you...
but he was only wanting you to let him off the hook.
