It’s dark outside
And inside too
Won’t you lean
a bit closer as I whisper
quiet words to you?

That’s it...Closer still,
The things I have to say
Are spoken for your heart
It’s always better done that way.

Let the Shadows slowly seep
Into the fabric of your life
Drenching each thread
In struggle and in strife.

I love the way they trouble you
and a quiet mind they cloud
For darkness is their habitat
Shadows just their shroud

So come a little closer
Let me whisper to your soul
The words are all familiar
But the images not whole

Lean in and hear it all,
You’ve heard the tale before
It’s filled with ghosts of failure
And things you do abhor.

Thanks Martie..I enjoy your replies as well! I fear my play here is to be limited again, as a new project schedule was approved and I am going to have my hands full, so if I do not make it back for a while, please do know I have and will continue to enjoy your writing and the style with which you can put into words the emtions of life.

(BIG HUGGGSSSSSS) This is a hauntingly beautiful poem that speaks of doubts, may we all find hope within our hearts and convert all our doubts into opportunities worthwhile! Cpt Hair darling boy this is simply outstanding writing, you have done so well here I don’t know how you do it. Again flawless and perfectly presented. What can I say but this is exceptional. YOU always write brilliantly and today is no exception.
