We can chat here, but all extemporaneous poetry must be written into Poetic Haven....

It's amazing how terrible poetry can be if you don't THINK before engaging the brain.

i don't know - i think some of the best poetry comes from "gushing" without thinking.

Is this ‘Open Mic’ restricted to senior members only?

It's not restricted to anyone....or any level of talent if you read what we wrote!

It became a race to see who could write theirs the fastest - only Chris and serenity didn't join the race..that's why bsquirrel and I are hiding our heads in shame this morning!

Next time, I think I'll just post a list of phrases to work from and set a time limit to do the poetry!

Thanks for the information Sharon.

I was a little confused that both areas where the “Open Mic” is being conducted are restricted (at least by suggestion) to “Senior Members Only”.

Would removing the implied restriction to those areas not be a good idea now that it, in effect, does not apply?

We never refuse admittance to anyone, no matter WHAT sign is out front. And you are a senior member!

I'm not hiding my head in shame ....

I'm just biding my lead in flame.

(so, you see, if you do the open mic, you will be PERMANENTLY DISFIGURED, verse-wise)

But don't take it from me. Watch the effects from these five samples...

(after open mic thingie)

(beginning to realize something is wrong after Seeking divinity)

(light comes in on Three moons rose over obsidian peeks)

(he MUSE?!?!?!?!?!??!?!)

(this morning)

Darn, we need a gravestone icon.
