Ok, this is the first thing that popped into my mind, maybe because I associate this game now with teen chat and this happened to me in high school. Remember those big wooden clogs we wore in the 70’s? Well, I was wearing a pair of those and a ‘pheasant dress’. When one day at school I feel asleep in class, actually I did that a lot, just this day I got caught. The school I went to was old, had hard woods floors and everything echoed for miles through the hallways. I’d fallen asleep with my legs crossed. Suddenly I was awakened by a teacher saying, ‘Come with me’. I was startled and got up quickly not realizing that one of my legs had also fallen…completely asleep. Down I went, me and my wooden clogs hit the floor with complete surprise. I quickly attempted to get up, still groggy and not realizing the problem with my sleeping leg. Down I went, again. The sound still echoes in my head and maybe even through the halls of that school. Finally able to hold myself up with the support of my desk, I hobbled out of the room. I was mortified. No one knew why I had suddenly collapsed to the floor…twice, so the rumor began that I must’ve had a ‘flashback’ (it was the 70’s, forgive me) and before I knew it my embarrassment was replaced by becoming a cult hero in my freak friends eyes. Hmmm...lol...interesting question JLR...wasn't aware I was seen that way really.. let me see... I've been known to cause a few 'scenes' over cold fries in McDonalds before...and have a receptionist in a bank called in to management after she refused to give my best friend a new bank card because she couldn't produce ID (her ID was of course stolen along with the bank cards..) and similar things.. Um...I actually like peace - and prefer to keep it if I can. But I won't be pushed around. If there is a conflict in my flat for example - well, suffice to say if it goes too far my flatmates will hear about it. I have no fear of public speaking...I have engaged a complete stranger on a bus in a theological argument after he harrassed other passengers with his beliefs...um... yeah, I am actually. But sometimes, sometimes I get really shy and quiet...but not often. Everyone has dualities don't they? K |

The country would be Italy....Some little parador, which is like a little hotel but in the mountains. I'd wake up next to my girlfriend. Yes folks, I have a girlfriend. The folks- Who would put up with you?!?! Well I don't know the answer to that one either....oh well Anyway back to the truth....yea next to her because I love her....because finally my love life seems to be connecting. After years of being left by her and treated like utter poo....something happened....we broke up and now we're back but she's back with this certain glow in her eyes. Maybe it's an eye booger, but it's been there for 2 months! I'd expect it to dry up by now...but it hasn't....We're seeing eye to eye and our love is growing again....day by day..minute by minute things are just fitting into place where they never did....and I'm happy, I'm truly happy. SO I'd like to wake up in Italy, with her by my side with her head on my chest and her arm around me. Yep yep.... |

I'm in!!! And here is a truth question for ALL MODERATORS, not just Sharon--we all have our opinions as to what makes for good poetry. Now, WITHOUT MENTIONING ANY NAMES PLEASE--How do you handle having to read the work of someone who just completely annoys you??? Is there someone whose work drives you INSANE--and how do you handle being objective as a moderator when someone is driving you absolutely bonkers, with post after annoying post, again and again, over and over--sorry, somebody kick me! But you get the idea--How do you guys DO IT??? |

LOL, thank you Sharon. Now ... did I ever steal anything as a kid? Ouch! OK, fess up I will. My mom still reminds me of this one once in a while. When I was about 7 or 8 thereabouts, I went into a neighbour's yard who had a gorgeous flower garden, they were just beautiful. While they weren't home, I clipped off every flower my hands could carry, and took the purloined posies home to my mom. I guess I thought she'd appreciate it, LOL. Ummmm, after a quick spanking, and a very long talking-to ... I had to march the stolen bouquet back to the neighbour who was quite suitably upset, and formally apologize. My punishment was helping the neighbour weed her garden for the next few weeks. (I don't think I so much as picked a wildflower after that). OK Sharon ... your "truth" question is ... did you ever cheat on any school tests? |

Answer to Serenity's truth question It's not really annoying because I have to approach each poem without the thought of the writer involved. Reply to Kit NO....I'm the proverbial chicken. If someone is going to get caught it's ME. I wasn't the smartest in the class either so it may have helped if I had cheated!! Answer to Serenity: I read newbies first. And if someone is fairly new and getting few replies I read them. I'll read the older members last....and if I read a poem I don't care for, I try to find something in the 'feeling' of the poem that I can relate to. And Ron IS my favorite ICQ buddy!!!! A long time ago when I was about 18 years old I was dating a guy and it was progressing to the next level (meaning marriage) that scared me to death!! I ended up going to a party and getting way out of control, with friends and did the unthinkable by going home and spending the night with a guy I met there at the party. Whom I later married. BIG mistake!!! Paul could never get over it and I must say that since then I've too have been on the receiving end of that kind of pain and I can honestly say I know exactly how he felt. That is why that same guy is now my ex. Anyway yes, and I very deeply regret it. How can you save me? |

Sheesh... this is what happens when you're away from the computer for a little while... sorry my answer is so far behind the question. Answer to truth (as IF I would have said Chris, jeesh): Kamla, for way too many reasons. She's the only one in a ring of people here that fascinated me that I never got the chance to talk to... me being me and her being her and nothing else. ~grins~ When she started in on me in the Peanut Butter thread, I had to like her, I couldn't help it. I relate to MUCH of what she says: in play, in poetry, in purpose… and she's so friggin' sarcastic...I think I'd dig her in that respect... and in softer ways... and in stronger ways. The intriguing bit is what I don't know of her; I think many assumptions are made of her personality, or of Kamla herself, and that the truth of her is rarely revealed (or dug out). I'd like to get past the outside perspective and work my way in to the blazing core (as I crave to do with everything) ~shrugs~ don't know that I'll ever find out, maybe if she picks up gardening... |

Funny how two people can have history when they haven't really experienced a present. Gee - you sound like such an echo of someone I know. Though I am sure you prefer to keep your individuality intact...still, when one is close to someone it rubs off yes? I don't let many people into the core. Geesh..isn't there some organization to this question asking? LOL! Soo.. Yes.. My sister and I were in our room one day when I still lived at home. Well, we both LOVED the song "Last Teardrop" by Tanya Tucker. We were singing it..even dividing some of the words up into solo parts (I know...i know..it wasn't a duet song ) We were dancing and really acting the song out when we turned around mid word and mid dance step to see my Grandmother standing in the doorway of our room! LOL! She just laughed at us! |

Ummmmm.....not really....I'm always looking completely stupid. But I will say this: One time I was in the bathroom making pee pee  and i was in the bathroom all dark and all of a sudden I see something shiny on the counter.....so I kinda leaned to the right and kept on leaning and kept on leaning and all of a sudden I starting to tip over and all......and all the while...STILL PEEING...and i fell on the floor..and i was....erm......all wet.haha |

My best revenge story? HMMMMM well the best one was right after high school...a friend of my boyfriend offered me a ride on his new motorcycle...well I said I'd go if my friend went too...so he and another guy took us riding...he made an excuse about the helmet I was wearing was cracked and we should go get another at his place...when we got there he said...uummmmm well lets just say we wound up walking home because we wouldnt lol....when my boyfriend found out he was furious...and that night he cut the oil lines to this guys brand new bike...now my boyfriend KNEW bikes...he made it so the oil light didnt come on...and VOILA... siezed engine...a $15000 bike was now a piece of junk....poor guy.... |

lol, ok. My first real kiss was when i was a freshman in High School. It was at the first Chior party of the year, and the seniors that had just graduated the previous summer were invited. There was this guy there named Eric, who was going to Baylor for theatre. He was pretty cute. Anyway, we got to talking, and he knew my sister, who had graduated with him. It was with my first GF who I am currently with after 3yrs. We were in a movie theatre and she was sitting to my right and then she kissed my forehead and i frowned and she asked "what?" and i said nothing and she said "oh you wanted the kiss somewhere else?" and i said "yes" and then she kisses me on the nose and i frowned again and she asked "well where do you want it?!?!" and i puckered my lips and wham....magic. hehe |

And sometimes even at the end of the day, for things I could have/should have said.. ok, same one for you.. Yu Lan~ LOL yes, that's why I asked I do it when I'm getting ready to go somewhere I don't really want to go....when I have to be around snobby people.....people I know will be rude to me..I try to look like I don't care when it really hurts.....I used to do it more when I was in school....I called myself a mirror actress LOL ( and yes, I do it later thinking of what I could have/should have said....sigh....I'm not fast enough some times )and now my dream.....I have very strange dreams....but the one that embarrased me the most was one I told to a friend.....I had a dream about my friend's boyfriend...... giving me a bath......so I told her....and she told her boyfriend ( he was a good friend) so after that when he'd see me he'd tease me about it being bath time.....(they were married last I knew)......so that's it....ok, well that's the "cleanest" one I can tell you LOL ~SEA |

Pepe is that skunk on Looney toons....the reason why everybody is talking about a Pepe pic is that my good ol pal Cherish mentioned to everybody that when I was 15 i took a pic of my stuffed Pepe Doll's Head popping out of the zipper on my pants.So it looks like there's some weird little being popping out of my pants reading to spring out and my hands are in the air in fright and I'm acting scared. Ok SEA, Zu comes from Zulu... Zulu comes from Zewell and Zewell comes from Sewell my surname... it's an evolutionary process that took about a year an half when I was 12 and since then everybody call me that... my friends, there family, people at school.. including teachers... and all becasue on guy couldn't pronounce my name right... Serenity, I did it over a co-op parking lot sign......we were going dancing, and before hand we were drinking.....the other girls were mixing their alcohol.....wine, whiskey and beer, yuck, I kept to the hard stuff, thank you very much.....on the way there, the other girls, my cousin included, had to throw up...I of course sat in the car laughing at them hysterically.....when we got to the dance place, we parked in the co-op parking lot, as we were walking up the street to go to the dance place, I leaned over the sign and puked my guts out...Very pretty......out my nose too...lovely......Peppermint Schnapps no less....I can't even smell it now without getting sick to my stomach..... |

good grief, I have had so many embarrassing things happen to me.....where to begin???? besides that, I've been "off the market" for so long now..... ok, I know one.....whew.....this is terrible....back in high school, jr. year, there was this guy named Abraham, that I would always slow dance with....he was so yummy.....you couldn't have gotten a piece of paper between us.....we didn't talk at school or hang around in the same clique, but get us on the dance floor to a slow song....and man.....anyway.....one night I was spending the night with a friend and we went out and were (unfortunately) drinking before the dance...we met up with some guys we knew and they drank with us....well, this guy I knew forever kissed me and well, ok he gave me a hickey...any way, went to the dance, danced with Abraham.....the next day I had to go home, the hickey was big and I couldn't hide it from my parents....I was in HUGE trouble....I had just gotten home and was in the middle of a serious talk with my dad when guess who shows up at my house....looking for me.....wanting to take me to a mutual friend's birthday bash.....I had to go to the door and tell this guy that I had such a humongous crush on that I couldn't go because I was in trouble.....I don't recall ever seeing him again....and I moved the summer before my sr. year......I SO blew it......so yeah, thats the worst..... |
