There within a fray, a thread dangles forlorn longing perchance to be free from concrete bonds. No pull nor tug, though silibant winds cavort and caress, crazed dancing to a silent tune. It ponders why this is so, loneliness unbound; no freedom to express nor life to be seen. Captive, held by oppressive fray, seen sneering, taunting, forbidding the thread to dream. Then, by chance, freedom beckons, a heeded call, and the thread slips free from earthen bounds, realizing only when the surface engulfs all that only in the fray can the thread of life be found. This is awesome. Perfectly portrays the idea of perfection in imperfection for me. (You already know I love mosaic, and I tend to deal with edges creatively.) But yes, this reminded me of something. At first glance I thought it was modern art--then I realized it was a microscopic shot of frayed nerve endings. It was gorgeous. Just like this. |

Serenity and Midnitesun, thank you both for the replies. And thanks for catching my typo, which I completely missed though I read over the piece multiple times prior to posting....for some reason, silibant sounded right, though it's not found in any dictionary. Can't change it now though...need a moderator/admin. Let it ride as testament to my fallacies. |
