Hearing the crunch of gravel 'neath my near-soleless shoes only proves the way is not always smooth and yet... it is the path I must travel without looking back upon the stones as if they were obstacles. Someone once called them...opportunities. I failed to see the humor but stepped lightly anyway, offering my movements to the world, sacrificing the comfort of soft beds with satin sheets, sun-kissed friendly curtains flapping in the sweetest spring breeze. Crawling 'round earth on stubbed toes and skinned knees makes me realize how good it might be to someday find the soft blades of grass, sandy beaches that might anchor my feet. * |

sacrificing..., sun-kissed friendly curtains flapping in the sweetest spring breeze. ~*~ But the gypsy must travel... and I wonder at what will come at the end when it begins... |

thanking you JM, for your heartbeat and Karilea, I wonder too I will be leaving Alaska on Monday, down the Inside Passage, a gorgeous three and half day ferry trip. Should be arriving first week of May in Oregon, near some horse farms. Will keep you posted when I can. *sigh* yes, I hope this is where I'll settle for at least a couple of years. LOL, but by now, no one ever expects to see me stay anchored for long. |

This seems a bit unfinished, and the message is a bit simple for my taste. I'm less impressed with it than with your others, as it seems a mere beginning, but I'll suspend any negative criticism--- I hope you're having a nice trip. Brian |

This is awesome but, I, like LP, would like to see you flesh this one out a little more (don't get me wrong, the writing is exquisite, the imagery awe inspiring) |

LP and Jeff, why do I feel as if I've been busted? LOL, this IS an unfinished piece, a mere intro to a longer story I've been throwing phrases at whenever I sit down long enough to...THINK through my actions. thanks for reading, and for your comments. I really do appreciate the honest feedback. |
