I'm tangled in webs of missleep. How many words jangle like keys and coins in old pockets of memory? How many touches taste turned, tainted in the blister of midnight to three? How many phone calls breaking streams leave us deposited on the moon? I'm looking out the window at you now. You sit, a satisfied coin, a glowing silver key, a ring against the sky. I want to take you in, shelter you in black felt, cry against the knowledge of your keeping. The pillow offers no comfort. The sheets no satisfaction. I want to walk you to the sea. I want to wade home through our image. Fragments of light breaking and bursting with each step. |

I'd go ahead.. but usually slow motion and backwards seems to make me rest easier. Starting the alphabet with Z, Y, and so on.. slowly trying to remember the complete opposite of what you've been taught.. But cupping your hand over your ear, and hearing the ocean.. that's a wonderful thing... it's inside of you. |

You must promise to watch for the breakers, how they slide as though escaping some black seascape further out. You must promise to watch the moon. She bleeds her light upon the water, the edge of the coast, the end to the stars. If I only knew the letters to form, unplanned, in my mouth. |

Again, like becoming the sky and the stars being the reflection of yourself on the water. |

As if in mirror all things collide to the other side. Your left, is your right. All fingers jolt to point, and musical notes become mathmatic, like the depth of shadow.. the depth of your sea.. The color is inflicting, as yellows become grey. [This message has been edited by Kaoru (09-13-2003 02:50 AM).] |

And what music is this. Breaking spume upon the rocks, wet-slicked back diamonds burning below the crystal ceiling, to the floor of the sea. What measures written respond to the flux and distilled ebb of this night? What words could I say -- to make you stay? |

To inhale those whispers, share your sky. Scratching initials in the clouds, ...the unspoken, are magnetic. Remembered in a pile of forget. |

Ah, but we must go. We must melt along the line, as ribbons of surf jettison to the shore. Caressing shells with forgotten hands. Remember now their shapes, their spaces. We must go. [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (09-13-2003 08:00 PM).] |

Aw, thanks. It wouldn't have happened without your input. So thanks for surreptiously dueting with me. [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (09-14-2003 08:22 PM).] |
