The lonely street accepts
the flow and veil
succumbing to an unreal happiness
my vacant wand'ring steps
resound and haunt
forgotten dead emptiness

shadows cast
by dead civies
trampling boots
crushing fist
the new democracy
nation without a dictatorial noose

Look beside you into those eyes
we tried we tried we tried
look below to the soaked pavement
we lied we lied we lied

The screaming blood spurts forth
police without power crime without intent
the artery ruptures loosing its confines
heart belonging to no one
violence throbbing for everyone

we are the experiment
we are the dead state
come o liberty
come lord come

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2

deep and dark
yes, we have to find a way past all this kill, kill, kill mentality
not to mention lie, lie, lie

I'll have to come back for another visit later, as it's time for me to get ready for work.

the perspective is realist...and with a bit of cynical...

This is very dark, I felt cynicism in there too in undertones. Thanks for sharing

I can feel this today.
I can see it everywhere.
Your words written
with such care
that even I, the optimist
feel down.

Oh my goodness, Frac... this is terrific.  I love what you've written here, the concept, the style... first the style, very simple and flowing with subtle techniques that just add to the pleasure of the read.  Like the we tried/we lied thing... that was really cool.

Democracy is the first step towards anarchy... isn't it?
