Haunting music plays from the CD at my side tears roll gently down my cheeks, tears I cannot hide the world is so much larger, cybernetically but oh, how I wish I could feel you dance with me. I long to feel the length of you, your arm around my waist long to sway to the tune, hands together, fingers laced soon, the song will end, another in it’s place the dance will end again without a glimpse of your face. Dance with me tonight, across the cyber seas hold me in your arms, give my hand a squeeze close your eyes as we dance by internet’s design you, there in your world, I here in mine. |

Sharon-- It simply will not do for me to have my eyes begin to leak while I am at work--- I guess you can imagine how this one gets to me. Very lovely poem your sweetness. There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar. |

If only it could go from cyber dance to being in they arms of flesh....Two worlds that drift together through cyberspace creating a reality of their own in real time. This poem brought a lump to my throat. Stunning and alluring. **big hugs** ![]() Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Truly a poem for the millenium where completely separate worlds can come together without ever touching. I found this to be an sensuous, yet sad poem and a pleasure to read. |

I thought as I read this how much of you translates in this...and the above comments prove my point--smiling..."sweet" poet, sensuous, but sad... If computers had flesh...hmmm...sounds like an x boyfriend...he was a rotten dancer, among other things...loved the poem lady, but I still say go buy a black beret and a twirly crepe skirt and go do the rumba!! ![]() |

Raspberry beret sounds like a dessert served in a fancy restaurant. |

Poet deVine - Definitely a poem that reflects a sign of the times. I'm with Cheryl, romantic, with a very sad undertone. Nice write. Dave |

Written for the 21st century, Sharon and written so extremely well about the reality of our times. My husband and I met through an internet dating service. We had been corresponding for a few days and then spoke on the phone. Finally, he came to visit and it was love at first byte. ![]() Before we got married, my mother told everyone that I got a boyfriend from the computer......as if I downloaded him and printed him out. ![]() Great job, Sharon. ![]() ![]() copyright2001 Lyra Nesius |
