When I drink a jeroboam,
...filled with wine sublime,
I thank the Gallo brothers,
...for Sangria with a lime.
I take a sip, or two, for me,
...then share, I do not mind,
Wine and friends, will life sustain,
...as share a sliced lime's rind.
So if you have a jeroboam,
...empty with used lime,
Don't check around for Sloniker,
...was probably drunk by Tim.

When I write a poem,
...I prefer that it would rhyme,
If I had my druthers,
...they would rhyme for me each time.
I know a word, or two, or three,
...a rhyme I will not find,
Discordant end words are my bane,
...they stress my feeble mind.
So if you read a poem,
...an ode that does not rhyme,
Be looking for my moniker,
...was probably wrote by Tim.

Tim or Time? LOL, I like this poem-I tried to write free verse once and it turned out just awful! Maybe I'll try it again, but in the meantime I'll stick with rhyme. Nicely done, Tim.

Tim, enjoyed this so much tonight. I have a terrible time with rhyme. Would rather write free verse anyday. This is good stuff!

(smiles) Sooooooo beautifully said, sweet friend, I love writing in both forms, but I prefer rhyme because I love to sound catchy in how I feel!
