Spirit of My Mountain The spirit of the mountain summons my heart She reaches deep within to my most hidden part Soon it will be time to return to the mountains For one last time For I shall join the spirit of my mountain The love we had flowed like a natural fountain Although I lived I died When I lost her to that mountain She is the only reason I had to live She returned all the love I had to give When that storm took her away It took my will to live So as this year ends So does my loneliness end For I shall go to that mountain And let our lives together begin I hear her calling gently upon the mighty north wind Come to me, let our forever begin Come to our mountain Forever to stay © alan 2001 |

Lovely Alan. Love is always worth returning for, fighting for, living for. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

I used to frequent the beaches while in Italy and then was slowly drawn away from the sand and to the mountains for solace and refuge..quite like the habitats there in the Apenines.Your poem is strong in sentiment, here, bravo! |

Alan, such a sad, sweet story. I loved the read. Sea is right, it does fit in with the short story you did. Dee I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life. a brand |
