I really can’t believe it... That you are really gone. I told you that it had to be, And now I’m here alone. I dreamed of years together And even then I knew- That I was only dreaming, And dreams do not come true I’m sorry that I hurt you- That I am hurting, too You loved me, I am certain- I also think you knew... We treasured stolen moments- We lived on borrowed time. Like moths drawn to a candle... Our lives became entwined. I wonder if you know tonight- The way my heart does ache. And if you heart is hurting, too As though it soon will break? I lay there in the darkness- And ask the futile, “Why’s?” And wonder what you’re thinking, As the tears flow from my eyes. |

John - so very heartfelt. The pain does ease, but slowly, and health will return. I don't know what else to say... BC |

*sigh* such sadness...so many questions...I have learned from hard experience to not trust my dreams..they seem to always end in pain and yet while they lived they were beautiful beyond compare..You have the talent of always touching me with your words and this poem is no different. My heart goes out to you, dear man. **big hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Wow, John, what a tender poem. Sad but it flows so well that it was lovely to read. Cheryl |
