Wall Be Damned In abysmal despair and desperation I strike fists against this wall so damned invisible to others which keeps me from you To my knees I crumple, I fall All the times I behold you there, here, see me reach out all I can keep to myself is the look from your eyes ~ Am I in your heart still realized… They are looking right past me they do not see me through barriers, you are there, I am here opposite sides of this invisible wall Cannot you hear my soundless call? But if I were to speak to you watch you crook, then nod your head I know you would but hear me, sense the utterance of my heart Again believing I would not depart But wonder do I if you recall the life we had before oh would you walk on through this unperceivable door Thus, come to me once more Capture my heart? You've already done when you first took me under the sun those memories do not fade at night though you were taken by the blight Here you are now, within my sight Your garb is of the then now gone mine is of the here and now yet I know you perceive me somehow and travel 'cross this plane of time To once again become one, and mine Oh Damn this invisible wall! ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 8 July 2000 revised 10 January 2002 For a Muse |

(sigh) Soooooooo well said, sweet friend, this reminds me of Pink Floyd's "The Wall". The wall symbolizes a barrier he desperately longs to break through from depression to find solace and hope behind it! (big hugggsssss) Sooooooo powerful, sweet friend, your words always amaze me! We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Yes damn that invisible wall! Were he in the here and now, instead of the then and gone, perhaps then, brick by brick, love would glow in a new dawn? Heartfelt piece and a keeper! ~*~ Carpe' Diem ~*~ |

Sunshine - You definitely capture the feelings of desperation and the longing for past love very well in this write. I have cursed that wall myself. Very good. Dave |

Sometimes the only walls are the ones we build ourselves, Karilea. I enjoyed this poem very much. |

I liked this the first time I read it... but then I faced a wall I could not breach and sat bloodied and helpless to do anything but watch as another found a bridge. Now every word is echoed in my heart... and the excellence of your words is even more appreciated. *S* Wonderful write! |
