The snow was falling pretty that Thursday night.
On Friday morning it was such a beautiful sight.

The part of North Carolina that I live in.
We only get snow every now and then.

We got about 4 inches this time around.
My grandson Chase went outside and jumped up and down.

He wanted to build a snowman is all he could say.
"Come on grandma lets go out and play"

Chase,my son Stevie and me went out to build a snowman.
The snow didn`t want to stick not even to the gloves on our hands.

But we finally got a small snowman made.
A prettier one you could find almost anyday.

We used coca cola caps for his eyes.
Sticks for his arms and when we were through we stood there with pride.

It wasn`t that we were proud of the work we had done.
It was because Chase had so much fun.

It started raining 2 days after the snow.
Chase who is only 2 asks where did my snowman go?

He looked at me with tears in his eyes.
"Grandma did my snowman die?"

I took him in my arms and told him no.
Your snowman will be back the next time it snows.

This is a true little story,please overlook the long sentences.

awww you are such a good grandma to Chase!
I miss the snow very much, I used to live in NY! I hope it snows again soon so you and chase can build another snowman! : )

Juanita, don't worry about long sentences...it was perfect, just as you wrote it. And I know it is a true story.
Isn't it amazing how little Chase, thought the snowman had died?
At his tender age, he already has a concept of what death might be. I would say that he is very smart!

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, you are such a loving sweet person, sweet friend, Chase is so happy to have you, may the snowman come back every year and may sweet memories in the snow always fill your loving heart! Juanita,
We were laughing here in Ohio when we saw the snow go through your beautiful state. Actually we were also laughing about my parents just arriving in Myrtle Beach for the sunshine. There snowman like a snowman (go back and read it slower). I bet lots of women wish their men would just melt away when they were done playing with them.
Glad you got to enjoy your grandchild.

Juanita darling girl this is utterly gorgeous, I really really love it

And what's wrong with long sentences, you should take a look at some of my earlier poems. They had extra long sentences.

Absolutely wonderful story, I love the picture you drew of you all playing with Chase.

And Roger I know you had snow in Ohio yesterday, 4 inches I was told, see I know what goes on

How sweet N carolina, my grandson and I also do those things and arent they precious. I loved your snowman at the bottom. I mean, Your snowman came to life. LOL floria

Juanita - Short sentences, long sentences, either way this is very sweet. So I guess all that snow you guys got in the south last week is all but gone. Hopefully, NC gets some more snow so you grandson can build another one.
