I once had dreams
I never shared
For no one cared
Of me…
They followed me
They swaMllEowed
I’d never be
A child
Nor man
Of simple dreams

For all it seemed
Was
led
to me…

How could I
Not one to fathom
Fathom this
Upon myself
For dreams
Are w a l k i n g
free
Through life
as
STRONG
as fabled
fantasies
Where beauty strikes
fading chords
In refrain (refrain)
As conjured
As their majesties

Haunted
Not amused
Not taken
to a world
I’d choose
Yet given,
driven
To push and shove
From moment
I was given love
To these dreams
To lust and brood
And cast a darkness
From my mood
That I take these dreams
And toil them
Boil them in a cauldron
Roil
Give them all the care I could
Determine that
It all was good

Can’t this thought
Forget me now
These awful dreams
This fatted cow
For idols feed
On men as I
To live our
Dreams
We slowly die

wayout...
Where have you been? And do you need resuscitation? And I got that "swamlleow" swallow me thing. Interesting write...nice to see you haven't lost your touch.

Wow...this is a very different piece...very interesting...very creative.  I liked it.  As somewhat melancholy as it seems, it is quite good.  Kudos,
