Day Long Hands

Long and hard
came the reflections
in-between,

The up and down
of the day,

Soft and smooth
should have been
the flow
of loving thoughts ~

But!
Short and swift
were the moments,

interludes of time

~ breathless ~

Left her breathless,
they came too fast,
left too quick,
myriad thoughts of
pain

Pain hurts

Absent from body
but renders a
mind useless

Never seen
but words touched,
then the heart
broke

Pain hurts

what does
care
look like

feel like?

I would put a
stamp on care
and send it direct,

Bypassing hands

Straight to your heart

If it would
take the
pain
away
from you

If I could

I would…

Long and hard
this day has been
long and hard
and difficult of dream

Distant on the
wind of keen
I heard long the
scream of scoria
~ suffering ~
seeking out the
next victim

I went
to see, to hear,
to hold,
to quietly listen,

All that
I could offer

Was a
helping hand

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Karilea, this is so so sad, I too know her tears so well, but with such a loving heart like yours, you will always stamp compassion on hearts messages, and she will always cheer up to you, for you will always be her sunshine, as you are to us all!
