I wrote this poem for my sister at her wedding... Love in the Wind There you were, A feather, falling to Earth, Trying ever so hard to fall faster, Yet your heart would not let you. You were not ready, Yet you could not hold on, I watched you struggle, I watched you dip and sway, I reached out for you, I held you in my hand. Then, a gentle breeze swept in, And carried you back up, But you had no desire to fall, This breeze wasn’t a simple breeze, It was meant for you, and you alone, For in this breeze floated another feather, Falling, swaying, and dipping as you had, The two of you touched in the wind, And continued your descent together, Together you both would reach out, Together you would settle. As I peer into the sky, I see not only two feathers, I see two souls, glowing, and dancing in the sunlight. Holding on, waiting to reach the ground, Well, today you have struck earth, And begun another ascent, The ascent of life. The breeze of life lifts you up, and carries you off, Let love keep the winds coming, And you two flying forever. |

This is a great poem you have created for your sister on the day of her wedding. You two must be sister who carry a great relationship with each other throughout the years. Hopefully it will continue to always be like that. I loved this! Thank you for sharing. Randy Meador a life lived unexplored is a life not worth living. |

Bravo! So sweet and clean. It is good to see this type of love for a sibling. This is the type of poem that can keep a marriage together. Your sister must still be smiling. Very nice poem. |

What a lovely poem for your sister and her mate. Thank you for sharing this with us. And welcome to these blue pages. (My recent post 'Out there' could have been called love in the wind, though it is very, very different from this one. ) |
