Dorothy’s Tin Man My dearest Tin Man, Rest assured I’m on my way. I’ve plenty of oil in this can to soothe your pains away. You were the caring one as we traveled the yellow brick road. The one who made the journey fun ~ whose kindness always showed. Your squeaks are simply music to these tone deaf ears of mine. The heart of gold within you is the treasure I long to find. You are the finest of all men ~ so honorable and true. I’ll never believe you’re merely tin for my heart is drawn to you. Cheryl darling girl Dave's poem was wonderful your follow up is divine. I love it Love it LOVE IT As always You shine, as a moth to a flame you are drawn to beauty and you pen it sooooooooooo well Absolutely excellent writing. I caught a flash of this and was determined to hunt for it. And having found it I'm putting you in my library, where all the best poets are. Cheryl, If I only had a brain, or courage, I could write poetry this good. I think it's these darn red shoes. They are too distracting. I'm even starting to see flying monkeys. Oh well, time to hit the bricks again. |
