Being Loved Never did I believe I would find the love I sought But that just goes to show that life isn’t as I thought Love is here with me, I’m bathed in it’s crystal light I’m held and renewed in love's sparkling delight I knew that life was predictable I knew what I’d see An endless stretch of nothings, an empty eternity But then suddenly without me looking I found you And my world changed it was no longer coloured blue I was moving through my life not expecting anything And now my soul has found love’s reviving spring I’m refreshed and alive I’ve never felt like this before So warmed, beloved and protected and I want more Whenever you kiss me I’m flying through the air And I know that this perfect joy, this love we share There’s truth in you that creates peace within me For I know that you don’t dabble in lies or duplicity I thought that love wasn’t going to come my way And if it did then I believed I didn’t need it anyway I didn’t realise that love clears and brightens sight Or that it shines and illumes the darkest of night Now my world is changed I live in a different place It’s as if I have finally joined the human race Being loved by you makes my soul shine my heart sing And loving you is beautiful you to me are everything Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace St John ch2 v1 [This message has been edited by Marsha (01-07-2002 02:12 PM).] |
