The young man stands there so brave and tall. The war is over and he had given his all. They gave him a medal for his part. But the medal can`t take away the pain in his heart. He had seen friends die before his eyes. He never felt ashamed for the tears he had cried. He wishes the war had never been. But he was an American and he would go again. In his mind he felt no one had won. When even just one person had been killed by a gun. His family waits for his plane to land. But when he gets home he won`t be the same man. Juanita |

Yes, the effects of the wars we rage on each other in this violent world is much more on the soldier than we notice. If they do come back, they will never be the same, no matter how many medals they may have earned. This is a beautiful poem Juanita. It is one to make one think. Juanita darling girl this is utterly utterly fabulous writing. YOU as always have written this to perfection, there is much wisdom in your words. And you're right there's no winner when people have bee killed, but without the brave young men where would we be. Wonderful utterly wonderful writing Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace St John ch2 v1 |

What an insightful piece. I do hope you don't have a loved one going or already there. Our family has just sent our 4th consecutive generation into harm's way and it is never easy. Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Juanita, this is sooooooo very heartbreaking, my heart goes out to all of our veterans who have faced the sorrows of war and come home with broken hearts to forever change their lives and I pray for peace and comfort to coe to them all! (kiss on cheek) So sad but well-said, sweet friend, God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Juanita, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
