Wee elf was gloomy,
Wee elf was sad,
for he got caught,
doing something bad.

Wee elf got grounded,
to his wee room,
where it was silent,
as a wee tomb.

No television,
no telephone,
all by himself,
wee elf alone.

Sent off to bed,
without his dinner,
already elf,
felt ten pounds thinner.

And when you weigh,
just twenty-eight,
ten pounds it seems,
a lot of weight.

But I digress,
back to the story,
of wee-est elf,
in purgatory.

At wee elf's door,
there came a tapping,
May I come in?
Or are you napping?

Then Mrs. Claus,
stuck in her head,
walked on over,
to wee elf's bed.

She pulled out,
from behind her back,
a plate of cookies,
a wee elf snack.

Don't tell Santa,
I brought these in,
my favorite elf,
can't get too thin.

I know your sad,
what can I say?
You can't put pepper,
in Rudolph's hay.

Achoo! Achoo!
flicker, flicker,
all the while,
the reindeer snicker.

Rudolph's red nose,
that glows so bright,
is flashing like,
a neon light.

I know you're sorry,
my wee elf friend,
so off to sleep now,
to dreamland wend.

While up above,
an airline flight,
passes by,
in arctic night.

The airplane's captain,
sees far below,
red flashing lights,
against the snow.

Yells to the co-pilot,
look quick or you'll miss,
the splendor of,
aurora borealis.
