I wrote this for my friends at Salty Dreams when they commented so much on my poem "My Dream Reality". Where is it we go When we close our eyes so tight That our mind escapes us To wander into the time warp Of our inner existence We leave our body to travel into the mists That evaporates our mind within us Into miniscule particles of ghostly visions In blurry impressions of mirror like reflections Light beams bounce all around us in open walls Of voids so deep that the abyss Whirl us down its spine To the uncertainty that nightmare scream from In an amusement ride that chills us into the fright Of white visions stealing our breathe away Do we need this ride that will send shaking in earthquakes To awake us in a drowning pool of sweat I think we must conquer and swim out of this road block For the answer we seek still must lie beyond that It might take me the door on the other side of the coffins To reach the bony reflections of some lost souls That will offer us the insight that will calm our travel In something never said and never spoken The thought will transcend us We come out torn inside with the tears of understanding The purpose of our existence To coexist in the blessing of two worlds That merges at night for an instant In the time warp of heavy sleep Email me if you want a critique on or off line at [email protected] I write so much that I may seem to be inconsiderate of others; I do apologize for my flaws. Dave, this is a topic I have pondered over many times. Excellent piece, much appreciated. Sandra |
