This Ache

the aching
this wanting
to be by your side
I want it
to go away
wish it would subside
for dreams
that were once dreamed
now are all dead
and they
are just echoes
inside my head
and I have
to go on
and dream up new dreams
and my want
of you
makes my reality scream
for this
is not worth
the tears that I cry
for someone
that couldn’t love
and says goodbye

"I have already paid for all my future sins."  Sade...(King of Sorrow)

1slick_lady, isn't it true that our sweetest memories are often our biggest aches. You write about it eloquently. Thank you for sharing with us, dividing your pain. May our love with you be multiplied as we weep and love together.

It is tormenting to be left aching in such a way,
and the reality of knowing we can't force someone to return our love.
Nice write~
I bet there are quite a few of us who
can relate to this.

Hello My Lady,

I love the way you write...stylistically of course.  Your short two to three words a line, which are very fluid and powerful.  It's very refreshing.  I am loving your reads.

So true, seems the ache isn't worth the pain. I hope your new dream will heal the hurt, and soothe the ache! Beautifully done!
