Remember the part of you that used to glue
a gift of cut out clothes on a cardboard model?
Remember when you got that first real toy
was it a building block lego or the real mckoy.

Remember how those blocks satisfied your curiosity
You would ask your parents to leave your room clutter be...
when another novelty came along, the old one soon collected dust.
Did we remember to forget the value of their love and trust.

There were those gifts we got when our teeth came out
and the ones that came when we went to bed at night
a kiss on the forehead, that fed our hearts
moreso than some birthday gift you wouldn't part.

There were those gifts we got when we went from cradle to bed
and the gifts we got when we earned our own pay checks instead,
it was easy to receive wrapped gifts from older kin
It is easy for us to forget how they would tuck us in.

Problem is people are to busy to remember
they choose to remember to forget human kindness;
rememberance and kindness do not grow on trees
when you were little, who would band-aid your scratched knees?

Ecrivan, you mentioned several of the precious memories I have tucked away in my heart.
Thank you for this one.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Martin, this is so very sad but true, I too wish that everyone could be blessed for all they do have and value love over possessions and the simple gifts! (sigh) These are such sweet memories, sweet friend, God Bless your loving heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
