Three views in my depth of writing with emotion.

These poems may not be perfect for I am differently not. But they express three views on how I approached my writing skills. Please comment freely or email me. I like two of them and you will see why.

The Positive Mask

I write to you with a mask on
A mystery with a face of words
That reaches into you to caress your mind
So a master’s face I must now have

An understanding is felt from a verse of comfort
So the doctor I will be
Giving you a self healing process
To look within yourself to calm your nerves
In the beauty of ones self blossoming

I will reach into you to make you think
In a different way to explore the universe
Within your own mind’s beauty unfolding
So a teacher I will be
But I will never scold you for not trying

I will ramble on for a purpose
That seeks to justify things
So a philosopher I will become
And I will put my thinking cap on
To rationalize human purpose

I will create a sermon that makes you believe in yourself
That shows the heavens in a hue that will warm your soul
To enter the winds of the whispers of your mind
Singing like a preacher possessed in the spirit
A mask I will have praying for you

So in the positive I will elevate you above me
So the mask you see is of light and truth
It is of the warmth of hugs, cuddles, and self worth
So it is a mask of smiles entering you

The Negative Mask

I could put on the mask of an Enron executive
Whose self purpose is to deceive everyone
And then point the finger in the other direction
Whose fear of prosecution is paid off in political favors
Paid by employees pension funds

I could become a Firestone tire on a Ford Explorer
And deflate the public trust
And take two giants down with too much hot air
Each one in the wrong and staying so still
Waiting way too long, until too many got hurt
Letting the communication break down in lies

I could become a tyrant who wants it all
To merge to eliminates any competition
A Microsoft of sorts who strangles for success
And goes to court for a slap on the wrist
No wonder we have all these mergers
They can get away with things we cannot

I could vote for a mask to change the world
Making laws upon laws to dampen our freedoms
That would make it almost a crime to think
A face of a politician I would have
Now there is an ugly thought

For look what you have as friends
To survive to the King of the hill
I may have to get two masks for that
But I am not sure where I would put the other
For if they do not know what sex is
How could then handle a mask Enron style

But that turns my mask inside out
And I get heart burn inside my head ache
And spill out of control for that effort
I think this mask I will leave for the professionals
Of corporate executives playing politician
Or is it a politician getting paid like an executive

Excuse me I am getting sick
I have to put this mask in the garbage
With the shredded paper, stocks and tires
For they are about to be recycled

The Mask Of Ones Self

You see the mask I enjoy is of myself
An imperfect man searching for truth
As a person who some people may talk ill of
For they do not understand the warmth
And will plagiarize me to others
Into words so worthless
That I not even exist for any purpose

So I must be forced to take the mask of a demon on
But the angels mask will never let me down
As they try to destroy my will
They only hurt themselves more
Eating away a part of my pride
That the angel’s tears must repair

Do I wear the mask of a total angel
Well no for I remember many a time
My angel said shame, shame
Shame on you
You are a better man than that

I still look and lust for things
In my imperfections to rise above the crowd
For who wants to be perfect all the time
But a fireplace in me cries in tears of warmth
For the flames in me come from my emotions
That is encased in my shell in silent prayers

So my poetic masks will keep me going
I am as imperfect as they come
And God blessed me in that way
What was instilled in me was to struggle
To open peoples mind in any way possible
So my small world can join yours

I write so much that I may seem to be inconsiderate of others; I do apologize for my flaws.

These are all very powerful. Everyone wears a mask at times. I liked the comparisons in the second one especially.
