standing on a shadow's lace

Somewhere Out There

today I found flowers
on my car
decorating my window
to the road
I wonder who
had placed them there
and how I deserved
this gift bestowed
seeing them just took
away my breath
as I stood there all alone
no one else around
gently I embraced them
close to my heart
but there was no card
no name found
I held them close
all the same
a little mystery
a secret is fun to be
somewhere out there
in this world
someone is thinking about
and loves me

"I have already paid for all my future sins."  Sade...(King of Sorrow)

Very nice twist on the usual Valentine love poem. I enjoyed the mystery of the unknown admirer. Cheryl

Ain't it grand?

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

wonderful thoughts, Dear Lady. I can just feel you hugging them to you and breathing in the thought of someone loving you. You need that.

I love this poem.

For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me.
