When Your Heart Comes Home From time to time it's simple to lose the sentient Keeper of your Heart, so many occurrences in each day so many things in which to take part So many great roles to play, so very little time, if the Keeper of your Heart never calls you, “mine” Now and then you may forget to say to the steadfast Keeper of your Heart, “I love you very much, my dear” and that loss can render you apart So very little time, so many great roles to play, If you as Keeper of the Heart, forget these words to say Is it hard throughout the day to call your love, your friend? Is it difficult to find a quiet moment in which to spend a hug, a kiss, or impart a loving whisper in their ear? Wouldn’t you as a Keeper, know in your Heart this mend? So many great roles to play, so very little time if the Keeper of your Heart never calls you “mine” So if you have a home within your widening heart, and when next your love, to your love, impart then look into the eyes of that, your greatest gift, and with God’s countenance, give your love a lift... Admit there is very little time, for the role you play is great and thank God daily, my dear, to have your loving mate Revised 11 Feb 02 Graphics, courtesy, Pat's Web Graphics http://www.patswebgraphics.com/valentine/valentine.html |

A beautiful Valentine poem Karilea, with very true thoughts of how we can and do get so caught up with 'life' and at times forget to stop and say a few special words to the one we love. Love this one! ~Hugs, Nancy~ ~Time has cast a spell on you, |

Time, it's sand's a finite trickle, the heart doth limit beats, why men this life would be so fickle to refrain from words so sweet, whose very sound would soothe most pain once spoke a soul renew, to parched fears come words like rain in a bounty of "I Love You's. ......thanks for the reminder |

Sunshine, Hey there, I just want to say that I think this poem is good, but it could be better. & I mean format...the thought and message are clear and upfront, the only gripe I have is that in your four line stanzas, you keep changing the scheme. The rhyme scheme goes all over and I am not saying the poem doesn't work the way it is, remarkably the rhythm of the poem isn't thrown off, but still you need to watch that, b/c other poems will feel choppy or jerky to the reader. If I haven't explained this clearly, feel free to email me and I will do my best to clarify! Other than that it was a really good poem content wise. Just format, was a little off to me. Keep up the good work. J~ |
