I’ve been with her…my best
what others couldn’t see
she treasures

She has been…reflective.

I’ve been with her…a fantasy
beyond all expectation
she believes

She has been…rebirth.

I’ve been with her…a poets love
from word to deed
she stands fast

She has been…perfection.

Well I must say she inspired you alright!  What a great poem to end my day Duncan, as this is indeed true perfection, and you have found it!

Wow. This is beautiful…and it is so amazing to be able to take the dream and make it a reality. Who would have thought it huh? What a wonderful, and unexpected surprise to wake up to this morning. You’ve made me smile on a Monday morning…now that’s some feat!!!

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Duncan, your writing has become so incredibly romantic in the past while...surely it isn't just because of Valentine's Day!   This is wonderful and how nice for her to be able to wake up to this on a Monday morning.  Gee, she wouldn't even need a Tim Horton's!

See how lovely is the view when you see your reflection in anothers eyes.
Well I am loving this ... and while I am smiling at the credit you give me...me thinks(knows) it goes to your partner in rhyme
She inspires wonderful things in your pen.
Sometimes we get so down on ourselves that we lose sight of what we have to give...
someone who loves us for who we are...someone who can see the parts of us we try to keep hidden, can offer us a view of what we can be once we are willing to love ourself as we so easily love others.
And Tracy-girl...tis time for a new sig....
take mine if you like....seems appropriate under the poetic circumstance

You speak to me in riddles and you speak to me in rhymes.
My body aches to breathe your breath ... your words keep me alive.

Yep, she's perfect and she's got some really cool cars, too!  Thanks much for reading.

Trace
Oh, great queen of understatement, yeah...who would have thought it?  Not even DUI (and he thinks he knows everything)!  Glad I made your Monday, darlin...you make my everyday!

Noah
Thanks, buddy.  No one's happier than I am!

Bill
Absolutely...thanks for noticing!

Joanna
You're right, just hadn't stopped before to see it that way.  Thank you!

Tara
And I love writing them.  Thanks for thinking I'm romantic.  Guess it's true a little, huh?

Nancy
Nope, not just because of Valentine's Day!  This little red devil I met seems to have something to do with it, too!  Thanks, Nancy.

my friend, thank you...I think I am!  And thank you for believing in my ability to be that and her's to see it...long before either of us did.

Janet Marie
The inspiration to see myself through her eyes was yours.  Though, yes...she is my poetry and every bit of inspiration I ever dreamed of.  It's funny, we've talked about her sig and the truth is that I love it.  It's her.  It's fun, playful and she knows a good toy when she's got one.  So, I'm not too worried about the sig.  Besides, if it hadn't been for that toy boy reference, I may never have written that first poem for her.  Thank you, once again...for your thoughtful reply and the inspiration.
