standing on a shadow's lace

pages of yellow
that I cling to
crumpled sheets
that have become you
bold black ink
starting to disappear
pressed softly in a heart
book marked to remember clear
life is just a memory
as you slowly go
soon you will be
someone I use to know

This reminds me of reading old love letters...something like that
something that you always keep, yet you go on....

My perception of truth will somehow never quite be the same..and so I write.
