Sometimes no matter what you do, it is wrong, for no movement will do in any direction. In your view you have a fine offering You have been raised for splendor In a soul moist with the right nourishment The tree that has brought you on Has shaded you from bigotry Isolated from the fear of being yourself The new orchard owner sees a prize for the picking So in his glee he displays the serenity of this beauty Soon people come from afar In the need to see a miracle Unspoiled by the values of today’s offering Confused you are taken back in what you where taught In the sunshine of smiles soon a disease spreads Oh it is not so perfect look at its reflection It is ever so slightly distorted Look see it through the magnifying glass Look at the skin tone its chemical composition is off Confused on a tree I thought What imperfection was I brought up with To cause me this pity in this minuscule flaw But yet it is only a dimple in it all Your shine can still climb the heavens An onlooker says Yes do you see the bruise on it It is rotten to the core it must taste awful As a bitter pill living in after taste As the instigator seeks the shadows of doubt A chorus of fraud rings out As the hand of another orchard owner Slips a bill of deceit into a smiling liar I stand looking in the mirror What bruise do I have Listen it must be a misunderstanding I was not raised to be bitter But to offer the sweetest fruit An my core is one of the warmest in the world It is a disgraceful that it should be offered for use It should be burned at the stake Why its form does not allow it to join the others Let get out of here and let it rot For it is nothing but garbage Alone you wait Alone you pray The weeds come to hide its shame As you weather the age You soon find they were right The tree started to die with the first doubt For it knew truth would never do That the special care it had taken Was lost in a second That makes something special enough To be jealous of With my support gone My empty core finally falls To a cold damp uncertainty As the light dims I faintly see my tree fall You seem you think I have failed Who taught you that lesson Do you not have faith in the unknown Or do you trust the newsprint Of my obituary For the seeds that I left has multiplied For now there is a story In the fertile mind that is reading this Right now and just saying WOW (If this means anything to you share the thought for the owner does not matter.)
