Susan, I Love You

by Michael

I love you, Susan, this you know.
Each day you set my heart aglow,
with laughter, giggles, tender write.
To not love you, would not feel right.

You touch my heart and bless my life.
You have a husband, I, a wife,
yet still, a common bond we share.
I hope you know how much I care.

I think of you when heavens pour.
I want your friendship, nothing more.
I cherish you, is that okay?
I cannot feel another way.

I know I flirt, it’s hard not to.
What is a man supposed to do?
Your loveliness, consuming fire,
poetic words I so admire.

I’m at the SEA, you want to walk,
hand in hand, as we both talk?
We’ll count the gulls, watch children play,
never run out of things to say.

Truly a bold statement of platonic love.  For those who don't know that there is more than one kind of love.

Thank you.

Michael, this is a very beautiful gift for a very wonderful lady!

God made all pure Love, beautiful! There is no other kind. Although it is thought necessary and convenient on earth to carefully pull certain window shades.

Ah Michael, this is so endearing.  How wonderful to speak up and be able to say you love Sue.  We all should be more aware of the 'freindship love' that can and does happen, but, we are so reluctant to say anything.
~Wonderful write, hugs Nancy~

Susan, I love you too! And yes, I definitely am talking friendship love, the unconditional love given to another human soul. Michael, you are really a special man of love to all of us.
