This is my gift to my true love, A gift not found in stars above. A gift not known by sun or moon, A gift not heard in sweetest tune. A gift not of jewels or of gold, A gift not bought and never sold. My gift to her is from my heart, A gift I give as love does start. A gift for her who is my own, For all the love that she has shown. This gift, my love, I give to you, A gift of love from heart so true. A gift of love from soul so free, A gift meant just for you and me. A gift meant just for you and I, A gift to use when tears are cried. My gift to you love, is myself, A gift more valued than all wealth. The only gift that I could give To you, my love, long as I live. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |
