I followed a rabbit
into his hole,
without any pretense,
without any goal.

And to my surprise
I found no disguise,
no fanciful falsehoods,
no layers of lies.

In deepest dark hole
out of day into night,
no hiding from truth,
it's a very bright light.

Rabbit suddenly turned,
I saw him glare at me,
as under the ground
Truth spoke to me.

"Love, Honesty, Fairness, Compassion
are the roots of the Peace tree for Humanity.
They must all be tended and nurtured equally,
by all, and that means you, and me."

I climbed out of that hole
and set as my goal,
to follow that rabbit
into the light.

Armed with words of Peace,
not weapons of fright,
I believe shields of Love
shall set this world right.

Midnitesun,
Well aren't you just an excellent little poet. Beats Alice in Wonderland! Wow, another poem with conscience. You're good.

Midnitesun,
I thought this was going to be a mushroom write...you know; kept in the dark...but you turned it into wisdom profound.
Write on

Kacy, very nicely said pearls of wisdom here.  Excellent write and I enjoyed so much!  But, around my house all the rabbits I know live in top hats!

I knew there were lots of huggy bunnies at this site! And Lyra, I love that adorable magical rabbit! Now let's get to hoppin and boppin, with or without the psychological assistants. Aren't we rabbits prolific enough to eventually cover the whole (or holes) of the planet?
Thanks, and hugs to each love bunny.

Thanks to each of you for your replies. And Sy? LOL, no, It's a 'down' year for the rabbit population. Haven't seen more than two or three all winter. I love those critters.
