Music of Sunrise There’s not a waking second more A mystery dream still in waking hours Anyway There’s warmth under the covers Reticent to remain outside looking in don’t want to read my own autobiography Bent flower in a vase, will it recover? Even plants have sweat stains Nothing is ever easy No, not that one! that hat is too sad to wear those garments too bland those shoes too sole-thin Rolling arpeggio of piano crescendos No holding back the rhythm nods Learning to appreciate the precision hearing the note by note progression knowing how it will all end still it is mesmerizing, captivating, alluring the music of sunrise |

I was lost in the under the covers part!! I hate getting out of bed in the a.m., even if it is for the beauty of sunrise... Kat |

Your poem is as beautiful as a sunrise, PB4S. I love sunrises but am too lazy to get up to see them in the morning. Great job! copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |

Noah: Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed this. Sea: Thank you! Mornings are splendid aren't they? Bill: Yes, it can be very mesmerizing to watch a new day come to life, thank you! amusemi: Sometimes I find it hard to get out from under those covers too, far too comfortable there that time of day. Thank you! Madame Chipmunk: You should try it once, you will never be the same. Sunsets are wonderful, but can't begin to compare to sunrise! Thanks! PB4S |
