This is writing from being so tired that the my twisted mind worked, Sleep existing in deprivation Exhausting you senseless In a numbed awakening of clouded thoughts Drained physical abuse Like hangover on waste lands Living in eyes half open to any focus a thing My hands reaching my face Finding distortions of an acid trip In cold chill of brittle spines crackling Much like the sound of a cereal popping Being drowned in chilling yogurt milk Blue chill of pristine forgetfulness Wrapped up in the ice of toes frostbitten On a floor absorbing the vacuum Of the heat of my existence From void long ago in abandoned pains The warmth cowers in a fading eye In a tundra of six months of pain Goose bumps grow in fertile soil In reverberations found in aftershocks Sending quakes of convulsions Sending the covers flying over you Heck with this I am tired Of the mirror cracking in yawns I am going to bed D.Lester Young (02/07/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) http://www.writtenbyme.com/userprofile.php?name=davelyoung1 http://www.authorsden.com/visit/author.asp?AuthorID=5012 |

Sometimes my favorite writes come from this place, but when there it is a rough existence. Good portrayal!! |

you know what...I'm tired of my mirror cracking in yawns too...but I have a plan. I am going to woo Morpheus to my bed and hold him tight until he grants boon. Then I am going to sleep away a week. Good poem. Not brain fogged at all. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
