In the Morning's Mist

Thinking about you,
observing the mornings mist,
my thoughts tangle
with the touch of yesterday.
You have keyed into my heart
removing the distant heartache
momentarily, allowing me
a sense of comfort.

You have distracted me
from my doubts,
silenced my cries of pain.
My mind in constant wonder,
if ever there would be
a second chance for me.

As darkness fell, the rain
brought the storm of fear
raging within me.
Last night, you eased me
into the promise
that there are rainbows ahead,
to brighten the way.

You have distracted me
from my doubts,

I like that thought~

We could all use a little distraction now and then.

It's in the air and this captures the moment beautifully!

NT:  you write such thoughtful feelings.
I really like how you wait for the 'second chance'.  If deserved, I think we come back a little wiser a second time.

Compelling lines!
