I WAnt to....

I want to sooth you as the dewdrops bathe forget me- nots of blue
As nighttime haze drops honey wetness drizzling in dew
I want to warm you as the rising sun dissolves the morning mist
Opening the petals slowly, waiting to be kissed

I want to touch you as a butterfly would brush its powdered wing
Against the petal softness in the balmy days of spring
I want to kiss you as a humming bird lingers ever near
To honey suckles treasured nectar, sweet and wet and dear

I want to hold you as a morning glory wraps its twisting vine
Around each crevice of the trellis as it slowly grows and winds
I want to love you as raindrops drench each petal of a rose
Bathing it in nourishment, of tender love it knows

I want to be with you forever
In the garden as it grows

Elizabeth Santos

Beautiful.

That dear friend was the most tastefully seductive, romantic poem I have ever read, so let me put it this way, if I received it I think I would be jumping into that garden darn fast   Oh this was so lovely Liz!  Definitely one of my favorites of yours now.
