Why is it I can't go on
is it because I can still hear our song
Why is it that I can still hear your sigh
is it because I still want to cry
Why is it I can still see the glisten in your eye
is it because I still listen for your call
Why is it that I can't see your face
is it because fate beat us in the race
Why is it that I can still hear
" I love you always and forever"
is it because I'll never forget
Why is it that after a year
I still feel the same
is it because of all the shame
or is it because not being with you
has mad my love stronger
now after I see you
I see your pain
but because of what has happened
I'll only hear our song
only remember how your eye would glisten
when I would listen to
" I'll love you always and forever"

I have seen such eyes and heard the very line ..... and its been 4 yrs ....questions still invade my heart.
I only hope it resolves for you sooner then this, it is not a way to share any kind of love.

welcome and yes, you will find very compassionate people here. this is truly heartbreaking, a year is tooo long. Much too long. But love is hard to forget.
Love is so hard to forget, especially when you know it was real.

My perception of truth will somehow never quite be the same..and so I write.
