Twilight's Lingering

by Michael

Now in the twilight's lingering
The poet's world stands still
It's not quite day and isn't night
A void, confused to, fill

He trembles within jaded thoughts
Now knows hope, but a lie
That dreams are chased by foolish men
We're born that we may die

The ebony of idled heart
That light cannot pervade
As silver, salty droplets fall
On life's decisions made

YAY!!! Ooohhhhh...I love the metaphors you associate with your words, like the stars add light to the darkness and fulfill us all with our dreams and joy! (big hugggsssss) Sooooooo wonderful, sweet friend, your words always make me smile, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Those in between years can be quite difficult. But they always pass, with time. Often our spirits seem get younger as our body gets older. And that is a joy.
