Deep in the heart

0 posted 2002-02-04 02:55 PM

Catalina moon,
lovliest sight
in the heavens,
reminds me of
my Sandra
torn between
California sunshine
and New Hampshire snow.
I remember
the start of a
smile
wrinkling
the corner
of those
luscious lips
invitingly,
intriguingly,
maddeningly.
Then the
blinding flash
of full-blown
smile.
Dazzlingly white
with
ruby surround
and
when she came
to me
offering
her lips
I melted.
Such is the
magnitude
of her
smile
and the
softness
of her
ruby lips.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

This is a beauty! (as is she!) I thought it clever how you turned what I assumed would be a metaphorical smile for our Sandra, into a lovely description of a smile...works for me too! <-----see?

Interloper, if this doesn't make her break out into a big grin then I don't know what we'll do with her!  Go find her and tickle her, maybe?  Lovely write and I'm sure smiling!

Very nice work here and a beauty of a poem that I'm sure will bring our Sandra a big smile.

Theres only one problem with this poem, Interloper.
I'm pouting with jealousy!

I wish someone would write something like this for me.....but I'm just a striped rodent.
Great job.....and I'm sure Sandra will be absolutely thrilled!

WOW I'm sure you meant to write this about Valentina, but I love it. Thanks, I realy needed a smile today. They are generally rare these days.
Your writing always brings one out though.
