In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-02-03 07:28 PM

Thoughts for this were taken from the Song of Solomon...So I give credit to "that".... these are my thoughts....on how I read the verses....

You have placed your house
Upon a tower
Built your windows pointing
Sea bound, filled each
With wisdom, desire
Drunken lips of perfect
Wine
I, myself, would seek him
Until the break of day,
Until the mountains shed
Their shadows
Until the fields of lilies
Wither and seek rain
Until gardens no longer
Seek the soils
Harvesting fruits
To lay among my tongue
Ravish my heart
Be a gentle pillar
Of strength
Place not a seal on thy heart
Embrace my soul
Let water quench
Thy love
Cause me to hear your
Desire
~~~~
Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows
of my heart
A very lovely reflection from a very lovely lady. I'm sure in all of King Solomon's wisdom should he be alive today, you would be a perfect candidate for Queen. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem.
Oh Lauren, you have written a glorious poem, this is just, oh my, gives me hope,
lifts my spirits and makes me weep that someone can put those thoughts into words when I feel I cannot.  I just love this one, hon, it's beautiful.
This is so beautiful, Lauren...that I am at a loss for words....and I am hardly EVER at a loss for words...its just that this poem is so gorgeous and so very special that there are no words which can do it justice, so I will just have to send you King Solomon, himself! ((hugs))
Exquisite words, my vision of Solomon is more on the justice that pervaded his reign..he must have had that romantic side hidden well within the castle walls
This is beautiful, Greeneyes! *S* Just yesterday, I was talking with a friend who's trying to read the Bible and was bogged down in begats. *G* I told her to try the New Testament, Psalms, or Song of Solomon... if I send this poem, I can guess what her choice will be. *S* Lovely write!
