As I lie awake
on this dark lonely nite
I ponder how our sacred bond began to break.
Everything about us just seemed rite,
so what came between our deep love?
The deadly build-up of rust
from this betrayal of trust
forces me to shove
all that ever mattered
to me far away.
Now, here alone I lay,
emotionally bruised and battered
by your incredible ignorance
of the simplistic significance
your glowing smile had on my pathetic existance.
I just can't go on,
the pain is way too strong.
Wish with me you would stay
for just one more sunny day.

This is wonderful.
I have often wished for that one more moment with that person I care about.  So I guess I really identify with this poem.
